The reality today
Running a hockey club in 2026 shouldn't feel like this.
Astro slots are gold — and contested
Senior 1s, U18s and the development squad all want Wednesday 8pm. A shared Google Sheet doesn't cut it.
Umpire scheduling lives in someone's notebook
Saturday morning: 4 matches, 2 umpires confirmed, the other 2 silent on WhatsApp.
Hockey Ireland registration windows
Player registration for the league has hard cut-offs — and chasing parents for that last consent form costs days.
Travel costs for away games
Senior 1s to Cork, U16s to Galway — bus levies need collecting and reconciling against the membership ledger.
