Child Safeguarding

    SAFEGUARDING, ARCHITECTED IN

Built around the Children First Act 2015, Sport Ireland's Safeguarding Code and the National Vetting Bureau Acts. Designated Liaison Person workflows, mandatory message shadowing, code-of-behaviour sign-offs and an immutable incident log — so your club's safeguarding statement is more than a PDF in a drawer.

    Five-layer safeguarding architecture

    Schema-level protection, not policy-level promises.

    Minor-Aware Accounts

Age-verified accounts at the database schema. Direct contact between adults and minors is impossible by design.

    Mandatory CC to DLP

All communications involving minors are automatically copied to the Designated Liaison Person and Children's Officer.

    PII Shadowing

Children's personally identifiable information is masked by default — visible only after a logged privilege escalation.

    Multi-Guardian Consent

Capture consent from one or both guardians per child, with separate consent for medical, photography and travel.

    Incident Reporting Flow

Coaches log concerns through a structured Tusla-aligned form. DLP is notified instantly with full chain-of-custody.

    Live Safeguarding Statement

Generate, publish and version-control your Child Safeguarding Statement directly from your member roster.

    Frequently Asked

    Does this replace our DLP?▾

No. It's the toolkit your DLP uses. ClubRovia gives the Designated Liaison Person structured workflows, instant notifications and an immutable audit trail.

    Is the incident log admissible?▾

The audit trail is timestamped, user-attributed and tamper-evident. Records cannot be silently edited or deleted, which makes them defensible in an inspection or investigation.

Can parents see what messages a coach sent their child?▾

Yes. The multi-guardian transparency model means any communication to a minor is visible to their nominated guardian by default.

What if a coach is alone with a child by message?▾

It's not possible — direct messages to minors are routed through the chaperoned messaging layer and CC'd to the DLP.
